Sas alja
Sas alja means the “bottom of the eagle”. This single vineyard has clay soil on andesite bedrock that gives the wine salinity and a dense character. The first mention was in 1622. We pick Hárslevelű here that is a local variety in Tokaj and the most important after the Furmint. It’s a bit less acidic and more aromatic with fruity and flowery flavors.
